La 5 ani dupa Loewe Optaphon 51 WAP (v. alaturi), Nora T5 este al 2-lea aparat combinat picup-casetofon , dar primul care foloseste prima caseta fara sfarsit cu banda magnetica (idee germana - v alaturat Tefi Schallband , 1951, dar banda era citita cu ac de picup); spre deosebire de Optaphon, acesta are amplificator intern (mono) si este mai usor transportabil. Schema folosea 5 tuburi electronice (EF804, ECC81, EL41, EC92, EM80), alimentare cu 110/150/220/240 V. Functie de viteza selectata (9/11,5/20 cm/sec), caseta putea fi ascultata max. 6 h si oferea o gama de frecvente admirabila – 40-14.000 Hz (!!) la viteza maxima. Caseta are cea mai lata banda magnetica din domeniul audio neprofesional (38 mm; v. alaturat). Functional fara interventii; foarte rar, cu accesorii.
5 years after the Loewe Optaphon 51 WAP (see previous page), the Nora T5 is the 2nd combined turntable-cassette recorder, but 1st which uses the first endless cassette with magnetic tape (German idea – see previous page Tefi Schallband , 1951, but the tape was read with a pick-up needle); unlike the Optaphon, it has an internal amplifier (mono) and is more easily transportable. The scheme used 5 electronic tubes (EF804, ECC81, EL41, EC92, EM80), power supply with 110/150/220/240 V. Depends on selected speed function (9/11.5/20 cm/sec), the cassette can be listened for max. 6 h and offered an admirable frequency range - 40-14,000 Hz (!!) at max. speed. The cassette has the widest magnetic tape in the non-professional audio field (38 mm; see next page). Very rare, with accessories. Working shape, without interventions !
