- caseta magnetică cu fir de oţel folosită la casetofonul RCA MI-12875 (vezi alăturat); carcasă şi role metalice; firul de oţel este stocat pe o singură rolă (principală) şi transportat cu ajutorul a 2 role intermediare pe canelurile cărora este înfăşurat astfel încât el defilează prin faţa capetelor prin 2 porţiuni/segmente paralele - unul este şters, celălalt este înregistrat (capetele sunt suprapuse, nu alăturate); printr-o fantă frontală se poate vedea un indicator (rotativ) al lungimii rămase; nu se derulează înapoi, doar înainte; dimensiuni: 150 x 105 x 45 mm; greutate - cca. 500 gr.; durata: max. 30 min; viteza: 61 cm/sec; comparatie cu alte 49 casete audio -in tabelul din sectiunea ''despre casetofon'' .
