- caseta Sony NTC, cea mai mică fabricată în serie vreodată (30 x 21 x 5 mm, durate: 2 x 30/45/60 minute; viteza benzii: 6,35 mm/sec; noutatea sistemului NT (Non-Tracking) constă, pe scurt, în faptul că citirea benzii se face de capul de redare sub un unghi diferit de cel al înclinaţiei pistelor; un alt aspect specific este faptul ca pentru a caştiga spaţiu, capul de redare este împins în interiorul casetei; pt. comparatie cu alte 49 tipuri de casete, v. tabel din sectiunea ''despre casetofon''.
